DECESoftware and SealPath announce a new integration that combines AI-powered datadiscovery and classification with automated, persistent document protection.
We are excited to announce SealPath’s integration with GEODI, DECE Software’s Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platform. GEODI discovers, understands and classifies sensitive data across the enterprise, while SealPath transforms that intelligence into persistent, policy-driven document protection. Together, the integration connects data visibility with enforceable control wherever information travels.
How Does It Work?
GEODI discovers, understands and classifies sensitive data. SealPath automatically protects it according to that classification. One connected process transforms data intelligence into persistent control, without a separate manual protection step.
GEODI uses AI-powered discovery, natural language processing and semantic analysis to classify sensitive information across structured and unstructured sources, in cloud environments and systems deployed on premises. Its Classifier embeds labels into document metadata, providing the context needed to handle each file correctly. SealPath reads those labels in Microsoft Office and PDF files, maps them to the appropriate policy, and automatically applies persistent encryption and usage rights without manual intervention.
GEODI reveals what sensitive data exists, where it is located and how it should be classified. SealPath keeps the resulting protection with the file when it is downloaded, emailed, copied or shared. Organizations can control who opens it and what they can do, apply expiration dates or dynamic watermarks, track access and blocked attempts, and revoke access after distribution.
Why Does It Matter?
Effective data security requires both intelligence and enforcement. Organizations need visibility and accurate classification to apply the right controls at scale. They also need persistent protection so those controls remain active after a document leaves a repository or is shared. GEODI and SealPath unite both capabilities in one automated process.
For CISOs, privacy leaders and IT teams, GEODI provides visibility, contextual understanding and automated classification across the data estate. SealPath adds persistent encryption, granular permissions, tracking and revocation after sharing. Together, they improve policy consistency, reduce manual work and human error, and protect confidential documents, intellectual property, financial information and personal data throughout internal and external collaboration.
What’s Next?
The first phase of the integration combines GEODI classification metadata with automated SealPath protection for Microsoft Office and PDF documents.
As customer and partner requirements evolve, DECE Software and SealPath may extend the integration to additional scenarios, including LibreOffice metadata, NTFS Alternate Data Streams (ADS), endpoint classification and protection workflows, email and Microsoft Outlook, and protection processes based on APIs or SDKs.
GEODI’s AI-powered data intelligence and SealPath’s persistent protection create a connected workflow to discover, understand, classify, protect, control and audit sensitive information. Organizations gain a stronger data security posture inside their environment and wherever their files travel.
